    Saint James Way of Urdax-Baztan

Monstario de Urdax/Urdazubi
A few years ago the association "Friends of the Camino de Santiago de Urdax-Baztán" was created to promote and publicize another means unknown but not least important ways (at the time) that was the Camino de Santiago that passed from the border in Urdax  and across the beautiful valley of Baztan to the port of Belate, passing through different towns where you can still see remnants of roads, shrines and other historical monuments and rich symbolism.

This section is made up of six stages:

STAGE 1: Bayonne - Ustaritz

There are two publications for the road from Bayonne to Pamplona with maps and information of interest for this section:

- Topoguide "Camino de Santiago by Baztan / Baztango Donejakue Bidea / Chemin de Saint Jacques par le Baztan" published by the Friends of the Camino de Santiago in Urdax-Baztan (For sale at the tourist offices and the office of the Tourist Consortium Bertiz. trilingual brochure: Castilian / Basque / French. Cost: 3 € + sendind cost).

- Topoguide "Camino de Santiago de Urdax-Baztán" edited by Bertiz Tourist Consortium, information relating to the services nearby road. (Free, see section "publications and materials"). To download in pdf topoguide in spanish click here.(On page 21 of the publication, the phone's Shelter Olagüe bad, is: 948 30 70 24).

You can acquire the credentials of the Way, at the Cathedral of Bayonne (2 €).

Moreover, the Consortium organizes several guided Bertiz familiarization during the summer. More information: 948 59 23 23.
